Job Title: Product Owner
Location: Hybrid (Onsite & Remote)
Duration: 9 Months (Extension Likely)
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Product Owner to lead and support the development of high-impact, user-focused digital products. The ideal candidate is strategic, collaborative, and analytical with an entrepreneurial mindset. You will play a pivotal role in translating business objectives into actionable product roadmaps and driving cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions.
The successful candidate will bring a blend of IT experience, business acumen, project leadership, and product strategy to help guide organization-wide improvements and system optimizations.
Responsibilities:Lead product release planning and set expectations for delivery of new functionalities.
Develop and maintain a clear product vision and strategy aligned with business goals.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure shared understanding of product goals.
Manage, prioritize, and refine the product backlog based on business value, stakeholder input, and user feedback.
Define detailed user stories and acceptance criteria for development teams.
Serve as the primary liaison between stakeholders and the development team.
Actively participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
Make strategic decisions on product scope, prioritization, and trade-offs.
Balance immediate needs with long-term goals in product planning.
Ensure product quality standards are met and maintained.
Utilize data and analytics to inform decisions and identify areas for improvement.
Stay informed about industry trends and conduct market and competitive analysis.
Maintain comprehensive documentation and communicate updates effectively across teams.
Active Public Trust Clearance or ability to obtain one.
Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 8 years of experience managing large-scale projects or programs.
Deep understanding of Agile methodologies and software development life cycles.
Minimum 5 years of experience in a product owner role in an Agile environment.
Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Agile Certification: Scrum Master (CSM, ACSM, or CSP-SM).
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
Familiarity with system engineering life cycles, architectural frameworks, and solution delivery processes.
Experience working with federal government agencies (e.g., FDA, NIH, HHS).
Product Owner certifications such as CSPO, ACSPO, or CSP-PO.
Experience with CMMI level certifications and quality standards.
Proficiency with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, and other Agile project management platforms.
Familiarity with Microsoft products such as Power Platform, M365/Teams, AVD.
Experience working with JAMF, Okta, and other enterprise platforms.
