At Bender Midwest Properties, we’re looking for a Property Accountant to join our growing team and take ownership of financial operations across a diverse portfolio of multifamily and commercial properties.

What You’ll Do:

• Prepare monthly financial statements, journal entries, and reconciliations for assigned properties
• Ensure timely and accurate invoice processing and payments
• Post journal entries in accordance with GAAP and other accounting standards
• Monitor escrow funding and ensure compliance for assigned properties
• Provide accounting support to property and regional managers
• Handle accounting for tenant move-ins, move-outs, and other changes
• File applicable property tax forms
• Assist with site budget preparation and property deposits
• Support other accountants and contribute to special projects as needed

Job Requirements

What You Bring:
• 3+ years of accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and office procedures
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A proactive, self-starting attitude
• Ability to work full-time onsite in our Sioux Falls office
• Background check required
